Friday afternoon floods have affected the small community of Ynysboeth in the Cynon valley in South Wales. The residents have begun a cleanup of homes after Friday afternoon’s floods.
Ground floor rooms have been ruined by water, mud and debris. People had to go through chest-high waters in order to escape to safety. Most of them had lost their downstairs furniture, equipment and sanimental value items.
The council said demand for help had been unprecedented. An emergency line has been set up for local residents in extreme difficulties. Council staff have been called back in to work during the night overnight in order to help with the large increase of emergency calls.
Another proof that Nature is angry at us…
