Cleaning fabric blinds

Fabric blinds can be dusted and refreshed by simply using a vaccuum with the upholstery attachment. If they require a more thorough cleaning, you can wipe with a damp, soapy cloth, and allow to dry on the window. Fabric vertical blinds have removable slats that can be thoroughly washed in the sink or bathtub. Simply slide off each slat, and roll it up to make it easier to handle. Keep it rolled, and immerse in soapy, warm water. Swish it around several times, and thoroughly rinse. Squeeze to remove excess water, and hang once again to dry. This can be very time consuming, but very rewarding once you see the final outcome.
