Oil Stain

To remove oil from your carpet, the first thing you need to do is put something on the carpet to absorb the oil. There are several household products that should work if sprinkled onto the stain. You could try baby powder, talcum powder, cornmeal, or cornstarch, and let set overnight. Brush the powder away and vacuum. If any stain remains, repeat. If this doesn´t work, try rubbing the area with white chalk, as this should also absorb oil. Vacuum to remove the chalk.
