I was amazed at the power of vinegar and the way it cleaned my kettle. After the natural cleaning treatment with vinegar there was no trace of limescale at the bottom of the kettle.

What I did? I filled 3/4 of the kettle with vinegar and started it. I did not allow the vinegar to boil but stopped it just before that - when I saw tiny bubbles going up to the surface. Waited 3-4 min and switched it on again. I repeated this 5 or 6 times, emptied the kettle, rinsed it well with water - voila! Not a trace of limescale.

And more importantly - no chemicals were poured down the drain and into the rivers or the sea. Good for you and good for the environment!
