  • King’s Cross is an area of central London divided between the Boroughs of Camden and Islington. Its is a district in the City of London settled 2.5 miles north of Charing Cross.

  • Designed by the architect Lewis Cubbit and opened in 1852, King’s Cross Railway Station succeeded a short-lived earlier station erected north of the canal, and it now stands by the junction where the cross stood.
