Cleaning an Islington Home Is Its Own Job
Islington homes bring particular cleaning challenges: very hard water, period features that trap dust, and compact flats with nowhere to store equipment.
Hard water and limescale
North London water is among the hardest in the country. Taps, shower screens and kettles cloud over within days, so we descale as part of every visit rather than leaving it to build up.
Period features
Sash window runners, cornicing, deep skirting, tiled hallways and narrow staircases all collect dust in places a quick clean misses. Our cleaners are trained to work through them carefully, without damaging original detail.
Small-space living
A one-bed conversion rarely has room for a vacuum, a mop bucket and a shelf of products. Anyclean cleaners bring everything with them and take it away again.
No spare weekends
Two working adults, a young family, or a flatshare where nobody owns the job. A regular slot means the cleaning happens whether or not anyone has the time that week.
How Booking a Cleaner Works
Booking takes a minute online or one phone call, and from then on the same cleaner comes to your home on the same day each week or fortnight.
Get your price
Online in under a minute, or by phone. You’ll see exactly what’s included before you book.
Meet your cleaner
Matched to your home, your area and your schedule. Walk them round on the first visit if you like.
Same cleaner, every visit
They learn your home and how you like it, so nothing needs explaining twice.
Quality checked
Feedback after visits, and a free re-clean if anything’s missed.
Cleaning Company or Cash-in-Hand Cleaner?
A cash-in-hand cleaner can look cheaper per hour, but the homeowner usually carries the risk if something is broken, the cleaner doesn’t turn up, or keys go missing.

What Islington Customers Say
★★★★★ Trustpilot 5.0 from 452 reviews · Google 4.7 from 361 reviews
“Our cleaner has come every Thursday for over a year and knows the house better than we do. The limescale on the shower screen is finally under control. When she was on holiday, her replacement already knew about the dog and the alarm.”
Hannah R. · Canonbury, N1
“We tried two independent cleaners before Anyclean and both stopped turning up. This has been completely reliable. It costs a bit more than we paid before, but I haven’t had to think about it once.”
Tom K. · Highbury, N5
“I share a flat with two others and nobody ever did the bathroom. Now it’s done properly every other week and we split the cost three ways. The office picked up straight away when I needed to move a visit.”
Priya S. · Holloway, N7
“A warehouse loft with a lot of glass and a lot of dust. The cleaner brings everything, which matters when there’s no cupboard for a hoover. Setting it up was one phone call.”
James M. · Clerkenwell, EC1

Cleaning in Finsbury ParkDomestic Cleaning in Islington: Your Questions Answered
Straight answers to the questions Islington customers ask most before booking a regular cleaner.
How much does a domestic cleaner cost in Islington?
A regular domestic clean in Islington costs £20 + VAT per hour. The exact price depends on the size of your home, how many bathrooms you have and how often we come; weekly cleans cost less per hour than one-off visits. Every price includes a vetted, insured cleaner, cover when they’re away, all products and equipment, and no surcharge on Sundays or bank holidays.
What does a regular domestic clean include?
Every regular clean covers the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas and bedrooms: surfaces wiped and sanitised, floors vacuumed and mopped, bathrooms descaled, beds made and bins emptied. Your cleaner follows a room-by-room checklist, then works to your own priorities once they know your home. Ironing, inside the oven, inside the fridge and interior windows can be added to any visit.
Will I get the same cleaner every time?
Yes. Anyclean assigns one cleaner to your home and keeps them there, so they learn your layout, your preferences and anything you’d rather they left alone. If they’re ill or on holiday we send a briefed replacement rather than cancelling, and you can ask to change your regular cleaner at any time without giving a reason.
Do I need to be at home during the clean?
No. Most Islington customers are at work while their home is cleaned. You’re welcome to be in for the first visit to walk your cleaner round, then leave a key or access instructions for the visits after that. Your cleaner will leave a short note if anything needs your attention, and you can send feedback after any visit.
How do you handle keys and access?
Keys are held under a documented process: each key is logged, coded rather than labelled with your address, and signed for whenever it changes hands. You can also use a key safe, a concierge or building management, or simply let your cleaner in yourself. Whichever you choose, it’s recorded on your account.
Do your cleaners bring their own products and equipment?
Yes. Your cleaner arrives with professional products, cloths, a vacuum and a mop, so you don’t need to store equipment in a small flat or keep restocking. If you prefer particular products, want eco-friendly options, or have allergies in the household, tell us when you book and we’ll use yours or bring suitable alternatives.
What happens if my cleaner is ill or on holiday?
We arrange cover. If your regular cleaner is ill or on holiday, Anyclean sends a vetted replacement who has been briefed on your home and your notes, so your clean still goes ahead. We’ll tell you in advance who is coming. You’re never left rearranging things yourself or going a week without a clean.
Are your cleaners insured and vetted?
Yes. Every Anyclean cleaner is covered by our public liability insurance, with £5 million of cover, and is vetted before their first visit, including identity, references, DBS and right-to-work checks. Cleaners are trained to our ISO 45001 health and safety procedures and wear an Anyclean uniform, so you always know who is in your home.
Is there a minimum contract, and how do I cancel?
There’s no minimum term contract. You can pause, change frequency or cancel your regular clean whenever you like by calling or emailing the office. There are no fees for ending your regular service, and you’re free to change your cleaner at any time too.
Do you clean on weekends and bank holidays?
Yes. Anyclean cleans seven days a week, including Sundays and bank holidays, at the same rate as any other day. There’s no weekend or holiday surcharge. Weekday daytime slots are the most widely available, so if you need a particular day or time, mention it when you book and we’ll match you to a cleaner who can do it.
