Every Chelsea Home Needs Its Own Approach

Chelsea’s housing ranges from Victorian mansion blocks to Georgian townhouses, mews cottages and glass-fronted riverside apartments. Each one has its own materials, its own access arrangements and its own idea of what a clean home should look like.

Mansion flats

The red-brick blocks around Sloane Square, Draycott Place and Elm Park Gardens have high ceilings, parquet floors, marble bathrooms and a porter at the door. Our cleaners know the building routines and work carefully on original floors and stone.

Garden-square townhouses

Four or five floors on Carlyle, Markham or Paultons Square mean long staircases, tall sash windows, cornicing and plenty of polished wood. We plan each visit floor by floor, so no room gets skipped from one week to the next.

Riverside apartments

The newer apartments at Chelsea Waterfront and along the Embankment have floor-to-ceiling glass, stone worktops and large walk-in showers. London’s hard water clouds them quickly, so we descale glass and fittings on every visit with products that are safe on stone.

Mews, cottages and busy diaries

From Chelsea Green to the mews off the King’s Road, many owners travel, work long hours or keep a second home. A fixed weekly slot and secure key handling keep the house looked after, whether you’re home or not.

What Chelsea Customers Say

★★★★★ Trustpilot 5.0 from 452 reviews · Google 4.7 from 361 reviews

Weekly clean
“Our townhouse on the square has five floors, and our cleaner works through them in the same order every Tuesday. The stair banisters, sash windows and the marble in the main bathroom are always done. It’s the first time in years that the top floor gets the same attention as the kitchen.”

Caroline W. · Wellington Square, SW3

Weekly clean
“We travel a lot for work, so the keys are held securely and the flat is cleaned whether we’re home or not. Coming back to fresh bedding and a clean kitchen after a long trip makes a real difference. The porter says she’s the most organised cleaner in the building.”

Marcus B. · Sydney Street, SW3

Fortnightly clean
“A mansion flat with original parquet and two young children means a lot of crumbs and fingerprints. Our cleaner knows exactly which products are safe on the wood. When I needed to move a visit around half-term, the office sorted it the same morning.”

Lucia F. · Chelsea Manor Street, SW3

Fortnightly clean
“I tried a couple of independent cleaners before and the visits were never consistent. With Anyclean it’s the same person every other Friday, the shower glass stays clear of limescale and I haven’t had to chase anything once.”

Nikhil R. · Hollywood Road, SW10

Cleaning Homes Across Chelsea

Anyclean cleans homes across Chelsea, from the mansion blocks of Sloane Square and the Duke of York Square end of the King’s Road to the riverside streets of Cheyne Walk and the quieter roads of SW10 around Edith Grove and World’s End. Our cleaners know the area’s garden squares and mews, its porters and its parking, so regular visits start on time and fit around the way each household runs.

Domestic Cleaning in Chelsea: Your Questions Answered

Straight answers to the questions Chelsea customers ask most before booking a regular cleaner.

How many hours a week will my Chelsea home need?

It depends on the size and layout. A one or two-bedroom mansion flat usually needs two to three hours a week. A family townhouse over four or five floors often needs four hours or more, because stairs, landings and extra bathrooms take time. We’ll suggest a starting length when you book, then adjust it after the first few visits once your cleaner knows the home.

Can my cleaner work with our porter or building management?

Yes. Many Chelsea mansion blocks and riverside developments have a porter or concierge, sign-in rules or set hours for using the lift. Tell us the arrangements when you book. Your cleaner will follow them, collect keys from the porter if that’s how your building works, and keep communal areas clear on the way in and out.

How do you look after marble, parquet and antique furniture?

Your cleaner checks each surface on the first visit and uses products made for it: pH-neutral cleaners on marble and limestone, which etch easily, a damp rather than wet mop on parquet, and a dry or lightly dampened cloth on antique and polished wood. If there’s anything you’d rather they didn’t touch, such as paintings, silver or a particular piece of furniture, just let us know and we’ll add it to your notes.

Can you keep the house looked after while we’re away?

Yes. If you travel often or spend part of the year elsewhere, we can keep your regular slot going while you’re out. Your cleaner can air the rooms, run the taps, change the bedding before you return and tell you about anything that needs attention. Keys are held securely and logged on your account.

Should I start with a deep clean before regular visits?

If the home hasn’t been professionally cleaned for a while, or you’ve just moved in, we usually recommend a one-off deep clean first. It deals with built-up limescale, grease and the dust above eye level, so your regular cleaner starts from a clean baseline and can spend each visit keeping it that way.

Where will my cleaner park?

Most of our Chelsea cleaners travel by public transport, with Sloane Square and South Kensington stations and the King’s Road buses close by, so you usually won’t need a parking permit. If a cleaner does need to drive, for example with extra equipment, we’ll ask about visitor parking when we arrange the visit.
