Survey
We check the fibre, fitting and condition of each carpet and note any stains before we start. Furniture legs go onto protective pads and door frames are guarded.
Pre-treat
Dry soil is vacuumed out first, because water turns it to mud. A pre-spray matched to wool or synthetic fibre is applied and agitated in.
Hot water extraction
Remaining spots are treated individually, then the carpet is rinsed and extracted at controlled heat. A citrus deodoriser goes in with the final rinse.
Dry and finish
An air mover is left running to speed up drying and the pile is groomed in one direction. Scotchgard goes on now if you’ve asked for it.

Yes. Most modern and machine-made rugs can be cleaned in your home at the same visit as your carpets. For hand-knotted, antique or silk rugs, we assess the fibre and dyes first and use a low-moisture method, or advise specialist cleaning if a rug needs more care than it can safely get on site.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
Someone should be there at the start to let us in and walk round with the technician, so we can agree what is being cleaned and discuss any problem areas. After that, many customers get on with their day. We’ll explain how long the carpets will take to dry and when the rooms can be used again before we leave.
How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?
