Window Cleaning in Hackney

Pure-water Reach & Wash cleaning from the ground for Hackney homes, blocks and shopfronts, up to six floors high.

Hackney’s glass gets dirty fast. Buses and lorries on Mare Street, Kingsland Road and the A10 leave a film of traffic grime, while tall plane trees drop sap and pollen on terraces in Stoke Newington and Clapton. Left for a season, that build-up dulls the light in your rooms, etches into old glass and window frames, and makes a shopfront or block entrance look neglected. Ordinary cleaning often makes it worse: detergent leaves a sticky residue that pulls dirt back within days.

Our Reach & Wash system fixes that. Operatives stand safely on the ground and use water-fed carbon-fibre poles with soft brushes to clean glass, frames and sills with purified water. It contains no minerals and no chemicals, so it dries to a clear, streak-free finish with nothing left behind to attract dirt. It reaches the sash windows of Victorian conversions, the large industrial windows of Shoreditch and Hackney Wick lofts, and the glazing on new-build blocks at Woodberry Down.

Hackney homeowners, landlords, businesses and managing agents choose Anyclean because it’s safer, cleaner and simpler. No ladders against brickwork or railings, no one working at height, no smears and no residue. We are ISO 45001 certified and SafeContractor approved, we offer regular rounds or one-off cleans at a fixed price, and our team knows how to work with the borough’s controlled parking zones, front-garden bins and rear windows reached only through the house.

Areas We Cover

Window cleaning across Hackney, from Shoreditch to Stamford Hill, matched to the buildings on your street.

Clapton

E5

Clapton mixes the Georgian houses of Clapton Square with long Victorian terraces around Chatsworth Road and Lower Clapton Road, many split into flats. Tall sashes, bay windows and top-floor dormers are typical, and houses near Springfield Park face the Lea. Our pure-water poles clean every floor from the pavement, with no ladders against old brickwork.

Finsbury Park

N4 (part)

Hackney’s corner of Finsbury Park centres on Woodberry Down, where new apartment blocks overlook the reservoirs, alongside older estates and shopfronts on Seven Sisters Road near Manor House. Large balcony glazing and ground-floor commercial windows pick up traffic grime fast. Reach & Wash cleans them from the ground on a regular round.

Homerton

E9

Homerton combines shopfronts along Homerton High Street, Victorian terraces around Cassland Road and Ballance Road, and newer blocks near Homerton Hospital and Hackney Wick. Bay windows, rear extensions and flats above shops all need different access. We reach them from the ground and fit visits around the borough’s controlled parking.

Shoreditch

EC2A · N1 (part)

Shoreditch is warehouse conversions, offices and shopfronts around Curtain Road, Great Eastern Street and Hoxton Square. Large steel-framed industrial windows and full-height shop glazing show every smear. We clean early, before traffic builds and doors open, using purified water so the glass dries clear with no residue.

Stamford Hill

N16 (part)

Around Stamford Hill and Clapton Common, large Victorian and Edwardian family houses stand alongside interwar flats and shopfronts on the busy A10. Deep bay windows, high gables and attic dormers are common, and traffic film builds quickly. Our water-fed poles reach the upper floors safely from ground level.

Stoke Newington

N16

Stoke Newington’s Georgian and Victorian buildings line Church Street, with terraces around Clissold Park, Albion Road and Stoke Newington Green, many now flats. Expect timber sashes, ornate bays and independent shopfronts. Reach & Wash cleans glass, frames and sills from the street without disturbing the period details.

Window Cleaning Questions

Anything else? Call 020 7099 6964.

How often should my windows be cleaned?

Most homes look their best with a clean every four to eight weeks. Properties on busy roads, near trees or with large areas of glass may need it more often, and shopfronts usually benefit from a weekly or fortnightly visit. We suggest a frequency when we quote, and you can change it at any time.

Do you clean the frames and sills as well as the glass?

Yes. The water-fed brush cleans the glass, frames and sills in the same pass, so dirt doesn’t run back onto clean glass in the next shower. Doors, conservatory frames and fascias can be added to the same visit.

Can you clean skylights and conservatory roofs?

In most cases, yes. Our extendable poles reach flat and sloping roof glass, rooflights over rear extensions and conservatory roofs from the ground or a safe standing point. Tell us about them when you book so we can confirm access and price them in.

Can I pause or change my regular window cleaning round?

Yes. You can move a visit, change how often we come or pause the round, for example while you’re away or having building work done. Just let us know before your next scheduled clean.

Can you clean shopfronts on Kingsland Road, Mare Street or Shoreditch High Street before we open?

Yes. Shopfronts on Hackney’s main roads pick up traffic film quickly, and stopping is restricted on red routes such as the A10. We schedule early-morning visits before trading starts and before traffic builds, so the glass is clean when the shutters go up and we don’t block customers or deliveries.

We live in a converted Victorian house in Stoke Newington. Can all the flats share one booking?

Yes, and it’s often the best value. Many Hackney terraces, from Stoke Newington to Clapton, are split into three or four flats, and the top-floor windows are out of anyone’s reach. We clean the whole building’s glass in one visit and can split the cost between flats or invoice a freeholder or managing agent.
