Typical drying time: up to 6 hours
Survey
We check the fibre, fitting and condition of each carpet and note any stains before we start. Furniture legs go onto protective pads and door frames are guarded.
Pre-treat
Dry soil is vacuumed out first, because water turns it to mud. A pre-spray matched to wool or synthetic fibre is applied and agitated in.
Hot water extraction
Remaining spots are treated individually, then the carpet is rinsed and extracted at controlled heat. A citrus deodoriser goes in with the final rinse.
Dry and finish
An air mover is left running to speed up drying and the pile is groomed in one direction. Scotchgard goes on now if you’ve asked for it.
Professional kit we use: Prochem, Host, RotoVac, Kärcher

What Ealing Customers Say
★★★★★ Trustpilot 5.0 from 452 reviews · Google 4.7 from 361 reviews
“Red wine on a pale wool carpet, and I was sure it was ruined. The technician tested a corner first, treated the stain and cleaned the whole lounge. You honestly cannot tell where it was.”
Nadia F. · Mattock Lane, Ealing W5
“Our hall and stair runner takes the brunt of two kids and a dog. They cleaned it in place, worked into every tread and riser, and it was dry enough to walk on by teatime.”
Gareth L. · Cambridge Road, Hanwell W7
“We bought a 1930s semi with old carpets that smelled of the previous owner’s pets. One visit with the odour treatment and the bedrooms finally smell like ours. Fair price, and they turned up on time.”
Simran K. · Wadham Gardens, Greenford UB6
Cleaning Carpets Across Ealing
Anyclean cleans carpets, stair runners and rugs in homes, rental flats and offices right across the London Borough of Ealing. It’s a borough of very different housing, and that changes how each carpet should be treated. In Hanwell, Ealing Common and around Haven Green, Victorian and Edwardian houses often have wool runners on long staircases, wearing first on the nosings and landings. Perivale, Greenford and much of Southall are 1930s semis and terraces with fitted carpet in every room, and family homes where children, pets and busy hallways do the damage.
Then there are the flats: converted houses in Acton and West Ealing with no lift and a shared hallway, newer blocks around Ealing Broadway and Southall Waterside with concierge access, and a steady flow of rental changeovers where the carpet has to pass an inventory check. In Park Royal it’s offices and staff areas, cleaned out of hours. Every visit starts with a quick survey of fibre, fitting and access, so we use hot water extraction where it suits the carpet and a low-moisture method where it doesn’t.

Access and parking
Many streets in Ealing sit inside a controlled parking zone, especially around Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Acton and Southall town centres. Some apply only for an hour or two a day; others run all day, and a few extend into evenings and weekends.
We’ll ask about parking when you book and can arrange a visitor permit, or a bay suspension for larger jobs. For upper-floor flats, or where the van can’t stop close by, we carry a portable extraction unit inside instead of running hoses from the street.

Acton
Acton has everything from Victorian terraces near Acton Park to converted flats and new blocks by the Elizabeth line stations. Rental turnover is high, so end of tenancy carpet cleans are a regular job, often booked on a fixed date between check-out and the next move-in.
Carpet cleaning in ActonHanwell
Hanwell’s Victorian and Edwardian houses, around Churchfields and the Clock Tower, often keep their original staircases and wool runners. We clean them in place, step by step, using a wool-safe pre-spray so the pile doesn’t shrink or brown, and treat worn nosings gently.
Carpet cleaning in HanwellPark Royal
In Park Royal we clean carpets in offices, reception areas and staff rooms across the industrial estate. Work is booked early, late or at weekends to avoid disruption, and our technicians follow your site induction and safety rules from the first visit.
Carpet cleaning in Park RoyalGunnersbury
Around Gunnersbury Park and Gunnersbury Avenue, large Edwardian semis and mansion flats often have deep-pile and wool carpets alongside valuable rugs. Delicate pieces get a low-moisture clean, and we test dyes first so colours stay true.
Carpet cleaning in GunnersburySouthall
Southall’s family homes see a lot of foot traffic, and large rooms often run into hallways and stairs. Food spills and everyday wear are what we treat most. Larger homes can be cleaned in a single visit, from lounge carpets to the newer flats at Southall Waterside.
Carpet cleaning in SouthallPerivale
Perivale is mostly 1930s semis with fitted carpet throughout, from hallway and stairs to every bedroom. Pet odour and stain removal are common requests here, and a whole-house clean usually takes a single morning, with carpets dry the same day.
Carpet cleaning in PerivaleCarpet Cleaning in Ealing: Your Questions Answered
Straight answers to the questions Ealing customers ask most before booking a carpet clean.
How much does carpet cleaning cost?
It depends on the number of rooms, the size of each carpet and the fibre, so we price every job up front once we know what needs cleaning. Stairs, rugs and stain or odour treatments are quoted separately, so there are no surprises on the day.
Do I need to move the furniture before you arrive?
Please clear small items, breakables and anything on the floor. We can move light furniture such as chairs and coffee tables and put it back afterwards. Beds, wardrobes and heavy sofas are usually cleaned around.
Can every stain be removed?
Most can, including food, drink, mud and most pet accidents, especially if they haven’t been scrubbed or treated with household products first. Bleach marks, burns and some old dye stains change the fibre itself, so we’ll tell you honestly before we start what is likely to come out.
How long does it take for carpets to dry?
Usually between two and six hours, depending on the method, the carpet and how well the room is ventilated. Opening a window or running the heating speeds it up. You can walk on the carpet sooner if you wear clean socks.
Can you clean the original wool stair runners in Hanwell and Ealing’s Victorian houses?
Yes, and it’s one of the jobs we do most in the borough. Period houses in Hanwell, around Ealing Common and in the Brentham conservation area often have long wool runners held with rods or tacks. We clean them in place, step by step, with a wool-safe pre-spray, so there’s no need to lift the runner or disturb original joinery.
I’m moving out of a rented flat in Acton. Will a carpet clean help me get my deposit back?
It’s often what inventory clerks check first. We’re regularly booked for end of tenancy carpet cleans in Acton, West Ealing and Southall, timed between your move-out and the check-out inspection. We clean to inventory standard and can issue a receipt for your landlord or letting agent if the tenancy agreement asks for one.
