One of the most popular tourist attractions in Harmondsworth is Harmondsworth Barn. It is a Grade I listed building and the largest tithe barn in the country, made entirely without nails. As of January 2012 the barn is property of English Heritage, who took control under the facility after years of neglect. Harmondsworth Barn ranks alongside Britain’s iconic buildings such as the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey for its remarkable architecture and historic significance. The oak-framed structure is a wonderful example of medieval carpentry. Built in 1426 today it has one of the most intact interiors of its ear.
