The Inventory Clerks Don’t Ask If It Looks Clean. They Check.
Cleaning is the most common reason for deposit disputes. At check-out, the inventory clerk compares each room with the check-in report and goes straight to the places tenants miss.
Those places are where our checklist starts.
What the clerk checks
- Tops of doors – above eye level for tenants, right at eye level for a clerk’s fingertip.
- Extractor filters – lifted out and checked for grease.
- Window runners and sash channels – grit, dust and dead insects in the tracks.
- Grout – grey lines in showers and behind taps.
- Inside the oven fan housing – behind the back panel, where burnt grease hides.
- Behind the fridge – dust and crumbs once it’s pulled out.
- Skirting boards – dust and scuffs along every edge of every room.

Move-out Cleaning Across Greenwich
Renting in this part of south-east London has changed quickly. The Elizabeth line put Woolwich and Abbey Wood within half an hour of the City, and whole new neighbourhoods have gone up along the river, on the Peninsula, at Royal Arsenal Riverside and around Kidbrooke Village. Many of those flats are owned by build-to-rent operators or let through large agencies, and their check-outs are run to a fixed standard. Clerks look for limescale on glass shower screens, grease in the hob extractor, marks on balcony doors and dust on the tops of kitchen units, and anything left behind is priced as a deduction.
The older housing makes different demands. Georgian and Victorian houses near the park and on the slopes up to the heath are often split into flats, with sash windows, original fireplaces and detailed photographed inventories. Eltham and Kidbrooke have interwar semis let to families, with gardens, garages and conservatories that need attention too. Former council blocks in Woolwich and Thamesmead change tenants regularly, and student houses near the university’s Avery Hill and Maritime campuses have their own kind of wear. Whatever the property, if you have the check-in inventory we read it before we start, because the clerk will compare the property against that report, not our checklist.

Access and parking
Controlled parking zones now cover a large part of the borough, and restrictions get tighter around the town centre, near The Valley on match days and during big events at the park or The O2.
We’ll ask about visitor permits when you book, or arrange a bay suspension for larger houses. In managed blocks we agree the loading bay, the fob or key collection and any goods lift booking with the concierge in advance, so the clean starts on time.

Abbey Wood
Since the Elizabeth line opened, new-build flats around the station have joined the post-war estates and family houses. Tenancies here turn over quickly, so we focus on what clerks check in newer flats: limescale on shower glass, extractor grease, oven interiors and balcony door tracks.
End of tenancy cleaning in Abbey WoodBlackheath
Victorian villas around Vanbrugh Park and the edges of the heath are often split into large flats, let against detailed photographed inventories. We clean sash runners, picture rails, cornices and marble hearths with care, and leave original joinery and fittings the way the inventory records them.
End of tenancy cleaning in BlackheathCharlton
Terraced streets near Charlton Village and The Valley are full of shared houses, where communal kitchens and bathrooms take the heaviest wear. We clean every room to one standard and plan around match-day parking restrictions, so the clean is finished before the clerk arrives.
End of tenancy cleaning in CharltonDeptford
Just across the borough boundary, Deptford has flats above shops on the High Street, converted warehouses and new blocks along the creek, plus a steady market of student lets. We bring compact equipment for narrow stairs and buildings without lifts, and protect shared hallways as we work.
End of tenancy cleaning in DeptfordEltham
Interwar semis and detached houses around Well Hall and Eltham Park are often let to families for several years, so a check-out clean is a big job. Kitchens, bathrooms, skirting, inside wardrobes and the conservatory can all go on one booking, alongside student lets near Avery Hill.
End of tenancy cleaning in ElthamWoolwich
From converted listed buildings and new towers at Royal Arsenal Riverside to Victorian terraces up the hill, Woolwich covers almost every kind of rental. In managed blocks we sort concierge sign-in, fobs and goods lift slots ahead of the day, and can work to tight handover times.
End of tenancy cleaning in WoolwichWhat Greenwich Tenants And Landlords Say
★★★★★ Trustpilot 5.0 from 452 reviews · Google 4.7 from 361 reviews
“We were leaving a Victorian terrace near the river after four years, and the oven and the limescale on the shower screen were well beyond anything we could fix. The team read the check-in inventory before they started, and the check-out report listed nothing for cleaning. Our deposit came back in full.”
Rebecca L. · Pelton Road, Greenwich, SE10
“I let a 1930s semi to families, so every check-out means a big house, a garden room and a garage. Anyclean cleaned the whole place in a day, including inside the kitchen units and the conservatory glass, and I had photos for the listing that same evening. The price I was quoted was the price I paid.”
Graham T. · Glenure Road, Eltham, SE9
“Four of us were moving out of a shared house a few streets from The Valley, and the kitchen was the problem nobody would tackle. They avoided a match day for parking, got through every room in one visit, and when the clerk mentioned the hob extractor they came back and sorted it at no extra cost.”

End of Tenancy Cleaning in Greenwich: Your Questions Answered
Clear answers to the questions tenants, landlords and agents across the borough ask before booking a move-out clean.
My flat is in a managed block at Royal Arsenal. Can you deal with the concierge?
Yes, and in most managed blocks it saves a lot of time on the day. Give us the building management’s contact details when you book and we’ll confirm the sign-in process, where the van can unload and whether the goods lift needs to be reserved. Many riverside developments only allow contractors at set hours, so we plan the start time around those rules. That way the team isn’t kept waiting at the desk and the clean is finished before your check-out appointment.
I’m renting a period house in Greenwich town or Blackheath. Is the clean any different?
The checklist is the same, but the detail takes longer. Georgian and Victorian rentals near the park and the heath usually have sash windows with dirt in the runners, panelled doors, picture rails, cornices and original fireplaces, and their inventories tend to be detailed and photographed. We allow extra time for these houses, clean painted joinery and marble hearths with suitable products, and check the inventory photos so every feature is handed back as it was recorded.
What does a standard end of tenancy clean include?
Every room is cleaned from top to bottom: inside and outside of kitchen units and appliances, including the oven, hob, extractor and fridge; descaling of taps, tiles, shower screens and toilets; skirting boards, doors, frames and switches; interior windows and sills; and vacuuming and mopping of all floors. Inside wardrobes, drawers and cupboards are included as standard. Carpet cleaning, upholstery and external windows can be added when you book.
How long will the clean take?
It depends on the size and condition of the property. A studio or one-bedroom flat usually takes a team most of a morning, and a family house can take a full day. We send enough cleaners to finish in a single visit, so you can plan your key handover or the clerk’s appointment for the same day if the timing works.
Do I need to be at the property while you clean?
No. Many tenants have already moved out by the time we arrive. You can meet the team to hand over the keys, leave them with a concierge or agent, or arrange a key safe. When the clean is finished, we lock up, return the keys as agreed and let you know the property is ready for inspection.
What should I do before the cleaners arrive?
Move out all your belongings, rubbish and food first, as we can only clean surfaces and storage we can get to. Make sure the electricity, hot water and lighting are still on, since we need them to clean and to check our work. If you have a copy of the check-in inventory, send it to us in advance so the team knows what standard the clerk will expect.
