Hatch End hosts The Harrow Art centre, comedy, dance and music events. There is a designers furniture shop called Chaplins and many restaurants with a variety of international food.
One of the most popular attractions in the north west London area of Hatch End is Harrow Arts Centre. Located at 171 Uxbridge Road, Hatch End HA5, this complex was built on the site of an old Royal Commercial Travellers School. The school was founded by John Robert Cuffley, and opened by His Royalty Prince Albert in 1855. When the school closed in 1967 the local authority purchased the site in order to be used as home to both St Teresa’s School and the Harrow College of Further Education. The Harrow Arts Centre has existed in one form or another since the end of the 1980’s. Over the years it has gone from strength to strength as a popular arts venue attracts more than 200,000 visitors each year, a number which will only continue to increase.
