Interesting Stuff
Ickenham is an outlying settlement and suburban area in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Some of the most interesting attractions in Ickenham include a miniature railway, which operates on the first Saturday of every month, and the biennial Ickenham Festival. The festival, which has taken place in the town since 1976, is held on the grounds of a 17th century Jacobean mansion. Originally started to celebrate the variety of societies and groups in the community, these days the festival centres on one major charity gala that usually takes place in June.
