- Valence Park and Valence House Grounds. Situated between Becontree Avenue and Valence Wood Road, in Becontree RM9, it is a relatively small park with a size of 11.3 hectares. The site offers space for walking, jogging and dog walking, and has for many years been a favourite place of rest and recreation for residents of the borough and tourists alike. There is also a children’s playground which has currently been updated with a natural play zone for children of all ages. Valence Park was once the grounds and garden of Valence Manor House, which is now used as the borough’s museum.
