- Horton Country Park. It is a lovely open space near Epsom in Surry, where the whole family will enjoy some time spent, playing sports, walking, or just relaxing in tranquil surroundings. The park was set over various areas of woodland, lawns and children’s play areas. Another famous feature on the site includes the two circular walks that surround the park. These walks take walkers along many of the former railway lines that were once part of the Horton Lights Railway. They also link to some long distance routes, including the Thames Path and the North Downs Way, making Horton Country Park easy accessible from many areas. Horton Country Park is listed Natural Reserve and is open throughout the whole year. The paths and tracks on the site are designed for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders only. Dog walkers are also welcome but should be reminded to act responsibly and clean after their dogs. Horton Country Park is also very popular with nature lovers. On the site of the reserve you will find many species of trees, shrubs and other plants, which provide natural habitats for the many mammal, bird and insect species that inhabit the area.
