The Magic of Carpet Cleaning Starts with Proper Vacuuming

Regular Vacuuming is Essential

When you vacuum, your house improves in appearance, but if you want your carpets to sparkle, just vacuuming will not do the trick. Even though vacuuming will remove most dirt, you must clean your carpet frequently to remove the oily, sticky dirt that vacuums do not remove.

These types of dirt occur from cooking fumes, air pollution, and tracked-in dirt from outside (which we get a lot of in my home). The particles of oily dirt settling on carpet fibres can cause slow but a good amount of sizeable dulling of colours in your carpet. The colour did not disappear; it was hidden under the dirt. If the dirt sits and builds up, it begins to draw and hold the dry dirt (yuck).

If the carpet is cleaned before it becomes too horrid, your cleaning task will be easier and more successful. The carpet in a standard household should be cleaned every 12 to 18 months, depending on the number of people living there and the amount of activity going on.

What Carpet Cleaning System?

Choosing the right cleaning system is important. Some systems may leave residues, which accelerate dirt and defeat the whole purpose of cleaning. Research done on cleaning machines, products and so forth concluded that the hot water extraction system provides the best result for cleaning.

This system is called “steam cleaning,” although no steam is generated. The process comprises spraying a solution of water and detergent into the carpet pile and recovering the water and soil with a powerful vacuum into a holding tank. This can be done from a truck-mounted unit outside the home with only the hose and wand brought inside or by a portable system brought into the home.

A Professional Will do a Better Job Than You

It is probably best to spend a few pounds and have professional London carpet cleaners come to your home because their experience in cleaning carpets helps them do a better job than you can do yourself. I know I have three kids and two dogs!

Their equipment has more extraction power than the rental units available to people, and the carpet should dry more quickly. Professional carpet cleaners also know the equipment and how to use it. They know the proper cleaning agents for the situation and recognize the differences in fibres and carpet construction.

Everyone likes to save their money, but if you are going to waste your money buying products and renting the machines in the long run, you are probably going to spend more, and the result will not be as near as good as if you were to have a professional come in and do it for you. So why bother and waste time having a cute carpet cleaner come to your home to make your like carpet brand new?
