- Banstead Junior School. It is a lively and successful school for boys and girls aged 7 to 11 years. Located at the Horsehoe, Banstead SM7, the school is very fortunate to have such wonderful facilities including a large sports field, two well equipped playgrounds, a pavilion and a swimming pool. There are also a pond and a wildlife area, as well as a trim trail and a Greek garden, which is also used as an outdoor classroom. Banstead Junior School is based in two buildings, housing 12 classrooms, a music room, an art room, a library, ICT suite, a multi-purpose hall, and a mix practical room with cooking facilities. It is a friendly and welcoming Surrey school that provides a broad and well balanced curriculum, within which each child has the opportunity to achieve their full learning potential.
- Banstead has a football club named after the area, Banstead Athletic FC. The club is based in the neighbouring suburban village of Tadworth and is affiliated to the Surrey County Football Association. The team play their home games at the sports ground at Merland Rise and currently compete in the Combined Counties League Division One. Established sometime during the World War Two, before the 1944-45 season, the club was originally named Banstead Junior Club. At first they participated in the Epsom and Ewell League, and played their home matches at Tattenham Way Recreational Ground. The club’s first season saw the team pick up their first honours, winning the League Cup and ending up the season in the very respectable second position in the league.
