Nice and Clean Living Room

Home is the place where people feel relaxed after a hard day at work. In order to maintain the atmosphere welcoming and tidy, you need to follow these rules.

Cleaning the Living Room

First of all, the living room is the place where people watch TV after they have come back home. They have their dinner in front of the TV, and it needs a bit of cleaning in order to keep it clean for the next day. Dusting the furniture and vacuuming the floor are the main domestic cleaning duties in this room unless you have any other items which need attention. The lounge has to be deep cleaned at least once a month when you need to clean under the furniture, dust the blinds, clean the windows and wipe down the skirting boards. These are the minimal efforts that you have to put in order to keep your living room in a reasonable condition.

Tidying Up the Kitchen

The kitchen is another area in the house which will need some daily attention as this is the place where you prepare your food. The cooker and the worktops need to be wiped down, the floor has to be vacuumed and mopped, and the oven and the fridge cleaned once a month. Depending on how often you use the microwave, you have to clean it inside when it gets dirty. You need to clean the sink from time to time to remove the lime scale.

The Bathroom

The bath and the shower need regular cleaning with a suitable detergent which removes dirt, soap scums and limescale. The toilet bowl needs to be disinfected, as well as the basin and the bathroom floor. If you have a shower screen, make sure you clean it properly each time, as it will be hard to clean it if a lot of lime scale builds up on it.

Carpet cleaning is necessary to keep the carpet healthy and free from bacteria. Most carpet manufacturers recommend washing the carpet at least every six months.

Washing the windows externally is another part of your residence which will need to be taken care of. They count towards the overall look of your house, and the more cleaner your windows are, the more brighter and shiner your house will be.

If you follow these basic rules, you will live in a clean and tidy house.
