Hot Water Extraction
Hot water extraction, also known as carpet shampooing or steam cleaning, is one of the most common methods used to get carpets looking, feeling and smelling their best. This is because it is suitable for a wide range of carpet fibres and backing types (but not all of them, our carpet care experts will suggest an alternative if hot water extraction doesn’t suit your carpets).
Hot water extraction involves high temperature and larger amounts of water. This means that carpets, mats, rugs and upholstery cleaned via this technique take a little longer to dry. But thanks to the powerful truck-mounted vacuums used by our professional carpet cleaners, drying time is kept to a minimum. The steam, hot water and shampoo loosen dirt, mud, grit and odours from your carpet fibres, flushing them loose so we can extract easily them. The high temperatures also mean that vermin such as fleas and the dust mites, that act as asthma triggers, are killed.

Cleaning Carpets Using Encapsulation (HOST) System
Dry or Low Moisture fibre cleaning method is a must for rugs, carpets and upholstery that can’t handle the temperatures and moisture content of carpet shampooing or the vigorous action of bonnet buffing. As part of our services, Anyclean uses the Green Seal certified HOST system, meaning that you get your delicate soft furnishings looking nice and odour-free, without the risk or excessive drying times.
The HOST system uses plant-based micro-sponges that contain only the tiny amount of water needed to activate them. These tiny sponges are brushed through and across the fabric or material to be cleaned with a special machine by our highly trained carpet care technicians. After this, the micro-sponges are left to work on the carpets, attracting, loosening and absorbing dirt and grime. Once the dwell time is over, the micro-sponges are simply and quickly vacuumed away. The HOST dry cleaning system for carpets doesn’t involve any nasty chemicals, and the micro-sponges are safe for children and animals. Even if minute traces of the micro-sponges are left on your carpets or upholstery, they won’t be noticeable and you can quickly remove them with an ordinary vacuum cleaner.
