  • Chinbrook Meadows. It is situated in the south of Chinbrook and Grove Park, near Chinbrook Road, on the site that was previously occupied by Chinbrook Farm, which was a diary farm. The park was first opened to the public in 1929. Initially it comprised just 8 acres and was used as a children’s play area. The larger area was opened in 1937, when the London County Council purchased additional 23 acres. Today, surrounded by housing estates and small shops, the Chinbrook Meadows provide a great place of natural beauty and relaxation for local residents and the many tourist visitors. Whether you wish to escape the bustling city streets and watch the world go by, or want to play games on the meadows, Chinbrook Meadows has something for everyone.

  • Eltham Palace. Located in about 30 minutes walk from Chisbrook Road and restored by English Heritage, it is an amazing house that offers visitors the chance to taste from the opulence of 1930s Britain. Take a step back in time and experience the solidity and magnetism of medieval London. The property gained popularity and began to evolve in the 15th century when King Edward IV commissioned the Great Hall. Eltham Palace has hosted many royal occasions, including Christmas festivities for Henry VII. King Henry VIII grew up at Eltham Palace and his Majesty was the last monarch who spent substantial time on the site, before the mansion fell into disrepair. Most of the buildings on the site of the place were demolished and the area was used as a farm until. In the 1930s the site was acquired by the Courtaulds – a wealthy family that bought the land to repair and maintain the Great Hall, which stands as an excellent example of the craftsmanship of this period. The Courtaulds added the stunning Art Deco, we see today, to meet their every need and to host the fashionable high-class parties of the era. Visitors of Eltham Palace are welcome to enjoy the amazing blend of medieval and contemporary style in the Great Hall and the 1930s house, as well as to explore the colourful gardens and have tea in the fascinating 1930s kitchen.
